5.56 mm Bore Brush
Threaded-end spiral bore brush sized for 5.56mm weapons, used to scrub carbon and copper fouling from the bore of the M4 carbine and M16 rifle during weapons maintenance. It screws onto standard cleaning rods and is a component of issued rifle cleaning kits.

CLP (Cleaner, Lubricant, Preservative)
All-in-one weapons care fluid (MIL-PRF-63460) issued in a 4 fl oz squeeze bottle with extender tube, best known by the Break-Free CLP brand. Soldiers use it to clean carbon fouling from, lubricate, and protect the bore and moving parts of the M4/M16 and other small arms.
Small Arms Cleaning Patches
Square cotton flannel cleaning patches, 1.375 x 1.375 inches, issued in packages of 1,000. Soldiers run them through the bore on a cleaning rod tip or pull-through to remove fouling and apply CLP when cleaning 5.56mm small arms.
